Another "Sneak Peak!"
Since I'll be gone next week I'm going to leave you with another "sneak peak" of my next video. I've been learning the ins-and-outs of the new video production tools I'm using for this video, particularly Sony Vegas (editor) and Digital Juice (video and audio effects), and I'm really excited over the possibilities. The DJ stuff is particularly cool, and their website has a ton of really good tutorials and "inspiration" videos. Here's the almost-complete "Tools" segment of the video, so you can compare it to a previous post. It's been fun! I still have to finish the bit on shave brushes, and re-do a little of the narration. Note that I had to compress the video a fair bit to upload to Blogger so there are more video artifacts and audio distortion than I'd like, but they'll be gone when I render and upload the final product to the various video sharing sites (YouTube, Sclipo, Revver, etc.).
[As I writing this post and uploading the video, I see that Blogger has increased their max file size from 20MB to 100MB, so I didn't have to compress the video after all. But I don't think I'll have the time to re-render the video before I leave for my trip so I'm going ahead with this version. I also see that there's about 30 seconds of black at the end. I have no idea why.]

Looks good!
Is there any reason in particular you're going out of your way to avoid mentioning brand names?
I'm on the edge of my seat, can't wait to see them!
Would be much cooler if you didn't make such an effort to keep from showing or saying brand names. I think I like the old videos better when you weren't trying so hard to keep from saying something.
I agree with the others. I think the videos would be better if you didn't try so hard to say a brand name. The very strange thing is you recommended specific products, but didn't give us brand names.
I think if you are going to recommend a specific product like the Italian soap, you should at least say it is Proraso. Or, the white box is Williams. That way it's easier for people to find what you're looking for.
I agree with the other comments. If these videos are primarily meant to inform new wetshavers, it doesn't make much sense to add another challenge in decoding brand names. Do people seriously think you're being paid off or something? Silly. If you find that a particular product works well, then by all means there is nothing wrong with naming it. You could also name products that might be common but don't work so well. I'd stick a disclaimer or something at the beginning and call it a day.
I know that I got into wetshaving after feeling well-informed and confident enough because of your videos. Please continue in your tradition of entertaining, accessible instruction.
